Good question! The Miniscope works by having 2 curved lenses inside, precisely at the right focal lenght for maximum magnification!
By adjusting the distance between both the lenses but also the object itself, you’ll be able to get a sharp, close-up image.
The distance between the lenses are adjusted by turning the 2 black wheels, one at the very top and one a bit further down. And the distance to the object itself can be adjusted with well…. your hands!
And yes, we can assure you it’s much better than a magnifying glass!😅

Glad you asked! A regular magnifying glass can zoom 2x-6x making things larger, the miniscope can zoom up to 120x! Instead of seeing an ant larger (magnifying glass) the miniscope let’s you see in detail each strand of hair!
Short answer: Yes! The glasses will not affect the microscope’s focal length (image) at all. You also won’t encounter any problems with the glasses getting in the way while using the microscope. You’re good to go!

It's not quite as good as a lab microscope, but it's still really good. Especially for the price. The kids are more than happy with the zoom though, they think it's super fun and that's what matters!
It really is a great little microscope but you need to make sure to adjust it in order to get a clear image. The clarity is remarkable for the price though I have to say. Would highly recommend this to anyone who likes to get out and look at things under a microscope. I think it would be very helpful even for young children to introduce them to the world around us. There really wasn't anything like it when I was a kid!

This turned out to be more entertaining than I had hoped. Kids examined everything and were “wowed” at the detail visible with this little thing. And because it’s small enough to fit in their pockets they bring it everywhere!
